500 Investments Regulation and Security
The brand is established by Cabsy Holdings Ltd, a company based in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Although it’s an offshore broker, it still needs to have regulation. Therefore, we’ve checked the SVGFSA register.
What’s Wrong With Regulation?
After thorough research of the SVGFSA register, we were unable to find the 500 Investments regulation. Based on that, we can conclude that this broker is another illicit entity whose goal is to scam as much money as possible.
Scam Warnings From Financial Regulators
When too many people file a complaint against the same brokerage, regulatory bodies are obliged to react. In the 500 Investments case, the UK FCA was the first authority to issue an official warning. After the FCA, two other regulators added 500 Investments to their blacklist – Austrian FMA and Italian CONSOB.
We can only assume this is why the broker changed the website and decided to pursue its illegal activities.
Beware of the 500 Investments scam and avoid ProfitsTrade broker.
What Are Trading Platforms Available?
We’ve reviewed the broker’s new website to confirm the 500 Investments trading platform and conditions provided. All the trades are executed on the web trader, the least safe trading platform of all. Besides that, not much information is available. For example, we couldn’t confirm the spread or the leverage that the broker offers.
If you were considering trading with 500 Investments, we could only advise you against it.
In Which Countries Does This Broker Work?
Since there is no regulation from any jurisdiction, the broker cannot operate legally in any country. However, judging by the FCA, FMA, and CONSOB warnings, 500 Investments operates in the UK, Austria, and Italy.
Also, we found reviews related to broker’s activities in Spain, Netherlands, Germany, South Africa, and Australia.
What Can You Trade With This Broker?
The broker offers a wide range of trading assets, including Forex, commodities, indices, shares, and cryptocurrencies. As aforementioned, trades are executed on the web trader.
The broker minimum deposit is standard for many companies in the industry – $250. The broker allows deposit and withdrawals coming from debit/credit cards and wire transfers. The minimum amount for withdrawals is 100 units for wire transfers and 50 units for card transfers. There is a fee of 3.5% for “most withdrawals”, yet, we are not sure about the meaning of “most”. The payment should either be equal or explicitly listed.
After everything we’ve seen in our 500 Investments review, we can only tell you to be careful with this shady brokerage.
