OMC Markets Regulation and Licensing

Once known as OMC Markets broker, and today hiding under the brand Global OMC Markets, this company has been conducting scams. Currently, company owner is Personal Founds Ltd from Bulgaria, while up until recently, the company was based in Montenegro. From our point of view, it looks like it’s a part of the infamous Balkans boiler room.

What’s Wrong With OMC Markets License? – No Regulatory Approval

As an EU country, Bulgaria should have a strong trading regulative. All companies based in this country should opt for BFSC regulations. So, after we tried to determine if OMC Markets is regulated, we got a negative answer. The broker does not hold any Tier1 regulation such as FCA, ASIC, or BaFin.

Scam Warnings Against OMC Markets

Since broker regulation is highly questionable, many regulatory bodies expressed their concern about the brokerage. Among those are Belgium FSMA and the UK’s FCA, both stating that OCM Markets trading brokerage is an unregulated scam that shouldn’t be trusted.

OMC Markets FCA Warning

Warning Issued by FCA

As aforementioned, the UK FCA was one of the brokers to issue a public warning against the OMC Markets scam. According to this regulatory body, OMC Markets provides financial services without authorization, and anyone scammed won’t be able to be reimbursed by the FSCS.

Negative OMC Markets Reviews – Stay Away From Trading Scam

Based on all of the OMC Markets reviews we were able to see, clients are not pleased with the services. The first thing to note is that some basic trading conditions, such as leverage and commissions, haven’t been listed.

Of course, once clients decided to go into an adventure and blindly open an account with this forex brokerage, they discovered that they could not withdraw their funds. Like everything else, withdrawals are not explained or permitted, as per investors themselves.

Beware of OMC Markets trading scam. Also, we recommend staying away from scammers, such as EuroTrader or Finexico. You will not be able to withdraw funds!

OMC Markets Platform – What Trading Platform is Better to Choose?

OMC Markets’ trading platform remains a mystery for everyone. Yes, we can tell it’s a web trader, but nothing more. Remember that web traders are highly insecure, and the broker can access your trades and your funds from the backside.

That’s why we would recommend you find a company that provides MetaTrader. More specifically, MT4 or MT5. These two platforms are actually credible and secure. Of course, the broker should always be regulated by a Tier 1 regulator such as FCA, ASIC, or BaFin.

OMC Markets Trading Instruments – What Can I Trade?

Again, we have to admit that we’ve stayed highly confused. The broker claims to offer trading with the following assets:

  • Currency pairs
  • Commodities
  • Indices
  • Shares

However, once you open each section on the website, there’s no information available. If you choose the “Stocks” tab, for example, you will see some basic details about commodity trading. Yet, none of the relevant information, such as the number of assets, is provided.

Also, there’s no Demo account that we can use to confirm the offer.

OMC Markets Trading Accounts – Account Types

Once the OMC Markets broker needs to take the funds from you, you will see a clear list of account types and how much money you should pay for each. So, the company offers:

  • Basic
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • VIP accounts

The main difference is in the amount of money and the quality of service. OMC Markets minimum deposit for the Basic account is $250, while the VIP clients should contact their account manager.

Also, the bonus provided with each account grows exponentially, starting from 20% for the Basic account up to 100% for the Platinum account.
