Titan FX Review – Is It a Scam Forex Broker?

Feb 28, 2021
Titan FX Broker

In the world of online trading, everyone should be very careful. Due to many scams going on, people became skeptical of the market itself. We want to break this myth and to explain to each and every reader that the market is good, the company can be the one that is bad. This is why we deliver our in-depth Titan FX review, so you can decide about this broker.

Regulated by:VFSC
Headquarters Country:Vanuatu
Foundation year:2014
Supported Platforms:MT4, MT5, Web Trader
Types of Assets:Forex, Commodities, Indicies

Titan FX Regulation and Security

The first thing we decided to check is Titan FX regulated broker. What we were able to find is this – Titan FX Limited, previously known as TI Securities Limited, is based in Vanuatu, an offshore country, and has a license provided by this country – VFSC.

The previous company, TI Securities Ltd was based in New Zealand and had regulation from New Zealand’s FMA. Due to unknown reasons, they lost their license and moved their headquarters to Vanuatu. This is how Titan FX regulation became an offshore regulation, instead of a credible institution such as FMA.

This does not give us much confidence, since it is well-known fact that an offshore license usually means no license at all. So far, we would review this broker as unsafe.

Warning From Financial Regulators

We decided to dive into a bit deeper search and we had what to find. One of the strongest regulatory bodies in the world Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) listed Titan FX Limited as a scam. Seems that broker was targeting clients from Japan without FSA approval, which lead to FSA adding them to a list of fraudulent brokers in 2015.

They renewed the list afterward and Titan FX is still on their list, updated with their new address in Vanuatu. This gives us a conclusion that even after they left New Zealand, Titan FX scam in Japan didn’t stop.

In which countries is broker operating

This broker does not provide financial services to residents of the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, North Korea, Iran, and Vanuatu, along with other countries listed on the FATF list. This would not be surprising if we didn’t know broker history. Since they were registered in New Zealand and claimed to have their regulation, it is a bit surprising that today they do not provide financial services to this particular country.

However, they are listed as a scam in Japan, and Japan is not included in the list of forbidden countries. One more thing that surprised us is that if you want to make a deposit using Skrill or Neteller, which are way more secure ways of paying, Broker has a list of 41 countries (most of them in the EU, along with China, Japan, and more) that are not allowed to use this payment method.

Why? We can only guess they don’t want their clients to get the money back easily. You will agree with us that the more we search, the more we are sure that Titan FX is an untrusted broker.

Which trading instruments broker is providing?

Based on our review, they are providing several trading instruments – Forex, Commodities, and Indicies.

The minimum deposit with this broker is 200$.

This broker does charge their clients a fee for inactivity along with fees for withdrawals. It is quite uncommon to charge clients fees for a withdrawal but seems that Titan FX has its own interest first.

Leverage for Titan FX clients is not determined since offshore license does not obligate them to have specific leverage for any asset.

Platforms that broker is offering are MT4, MT5, web trader, and mobile trader.
